Our four virtual, on-demand Masterclasses are designed to support the beginning Colorado gardener throughout the year, from planning your plot in early spring to putting your garden to bed in late fall. Taught by DUG’s Judy Elliott, these classes focus on organic gardening in the Front Range of Colorado, giving you the skills and knowledge to succeed in every season.
Our Masterclass Bundle includes:
Planning Your Garden: Learn the practical steps needed to establish a garden plot that maximizes growing space and efficiency, create a spring planting plan, and plan for a harvest of diverse crops.
Maintaining Your Garden: Learn how to use organic, preventative, and treatment techniques for some of the specific pests and diseases that may attack your plants. You will also learn how to navigate the challenges posed by our sunny and arid environment here in Denver and maintain a thriving garden throughout the growing season.
Transitioning into Fall: Learn basic organic management techniques that will help your garden transition into the cooler temperatures and shorter days of fall. Topics include keeping your summer crops thriving as long as possible and strategies for planting and caring for cool-season plants throughout the fall.
Putting Your Garden to Bed: Learn how to clean up your garden at the end of the fall growing season and properly care for your soil so it is ready to support a new season of growing in the spring. We’ll also cover planting garlic and cover crops, as well as proper care for tools and support structures to ensure they last.
At DUG, we use pay-what-you-can pricing to increase accessibility to our resources. Our suggested price for the Masterclass bundle is $99, but you are welcome to pay more or less (including $0). Thanks to TIAA for their generous support of this community resource
